Spicy Hamburger Casserole

1 ½ Pound Ground Beef
1 Orange Pepper
½ Large Yellow Onion
15 Oz Tomato Sauce
1 Can Diced Tomatoes
1 4 Oz Can Diced Green Chilis
2 Cups Corn (frozen or canned)
2 Cups Dried Macaroni
3 Cups Shredded Cheese Blend
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
Directions
- Cook macaroni according to directions and set aside.
- While macaroni is cooking brown your ground beef, drain grease from it and set aside.
- Sauté the onions and pepper until tender. If needs be, add a little olive oil.
- Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, green chilis, and the spices. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the corn and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the pasta and beef back into the pan and carefully stir until well incorporated.
- Pour into a 9×13 casserole dish and top with the shredded cheese blend.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is brown and bubbly.
