About This Recipe
Appetizers and Hors-d’oeuvres are the stars of any party or social gathering you can find yourself at. So why not let yours shine bright? Pinwheels are always a great addition to the table, the versatility of them is truly amazing as there are endless combinations to try when making pinwheels. This recipe is going to be brining out some smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, and everyone’s favorite… Everything But The Bagel Seasoning.
Slicing Your Pinwheels and Holding Them Together
Holding your pinwheels together can sometimes be tricky. I have found that it is your ingredients that will determine how you will hold your pinwheels together. In this recipe I use cream cheese as a base so that when you roll up your pinwheels it acts as a glue so that you do not have to use tooth picks to keep them rolled up. When it comes to slicing them I always cut off about an inch to an inch and a half so that all your pinwheels that you slice are going to full of your stuffing. From their I aim to make my pinwheels about half inch thick. I can average about 5 to 6 pinwheels per roll.
A Word On The Measurements
As you read this recipe you notice that I did not put any proper measurements on the ingredients. The main reasoning for this is that not everyone is going to use the same amount of cream cheese, or spinach for that matter. I only put enough spinach for a single layer you may want more. The only thing I will say is that a single 8 oz pack of smoked salmon was just enough for three rolls. So depending on how many you want to make the smoked salmon will be the only thing you might need to buy more of.
