Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Fresh Broccoli Florets (chopped)

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (divided)

  • 1 ½ Pound Ground Beef

  • 1 Large Onion (diced)

  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 4 Cups Whole Milk

  • 1/3 Cup Cornstarch

  • 8 Oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese

  • 3 Cups Tater Tots

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Coat the Broccoli with 1 Tbsp olive oil and bake for ten minutes.
  • In a large skillet heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat and add in your ground beef and onions. Cook until your beef is properly browned, and onions are softened while using a wooden spatula to break apart your beef. Drain any excess grease and mix in the Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
  • In a large saucepan place in your cornstarch and slowly whisk in your milk over medium heat until milk and cornstarch are smooth. Continue to cook stirring occasionally until the sauce is bubbly and thick. Reduce heat to low and stir in your cheese.
  • In a 9×13 inch baking dish spread your beef over the bottom and place your florets on top of it.
  • Next pour your cheese mixture evenly over your beef and broccoli and sprinkle with the tater tots.
  • Place your casserole back in the oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until nice and bubbling.
