Candied Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar

Ingredients

  • 4 Pounds Sweet Potatoes (peeled and chopped)

  • ¾ Cup Brown Sugar

  • ½ Cup Maple Syrup

  • 2 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • ½ Cup Salted Butter

  • ¾ Cups Pecan Pieces

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a small bowl stir together your brown sugar, syrup, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • In a large baking dish place in your butter and melt it in the oven.
  • Add your potatoes into the baking dish and drizzle the sugar mixture over the potatoes.
  • Carefully give them a nice stir making sure they are all coated with sugar mixture.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes then give them another stir.
  • Bake for another 25-30 minutes or until easily pierced with a fork.
  • Remove from oven and top with pecan pieces.
